Tuning Pulser Tuning Pecker PKR-1 (and PKR-1LK)
The CTR Engineering PKR-1 is a more modern version of the Ameritron ATP-100 and ATP-102 Ameritron tuning pulser. There are two optional switch styles:
The push-to-lock peck and push again to release peck is the PKR1-LK
be sure we know you want the LK version! This would be most useful for two handed tuning people or if you want hands free pecking.
The standard momentary push-to-peck must have the button held while pecking. This normally is okay depending on your shack layout and how you tune. This is just a plain PKR-1
This device relieves temperature-related stress and lessens the chance of damaging arcs in amplifiers, tuners, and dummy loads while allowing safe adjustment for maximum linearity.

This device uses a pulse generator chip with adjustable rate and duty cycle. It is battery powered with a long-life garage door remote type 12V battery. The current draw is very low. Battery life will be years with normal use.

PKR-1 controls
The PKR-1 modern replacement for ATP100 and ATP102 Ameritron pulsers has front panel weight (duty cycle) and rate (speed) controls. The pulser should be adjusted for the slowest speed that allows stable meter deflection along with the shortest pulse width or weight (duty cycle) that makes full stable peak power from the radio.
It requires one simple connection to the radio via one supplied cord.
